Bodega Bay for Grandma’s Birthday
Took my Grandma out to Bodega Bay for her birthday this weekend for a nice hike on Bodega Head among the wildflowers. The gray whales are migrating up the west coast right now, which made it even more special.
Here are a few more sights of the coast and wildflowers:
Wild iris!! So amazing.
Indian paintbrush (Castilleja affinis or littoralis) on the edge of the cliff.
Buttercups (Ranunculus californicus) —so shiny.
Tall ships were in the bay giving short tours. Fascinating to watch them turn the ships using the wind.
